More on Block G

"G" is the last of the Marina apartments' Oceana blocks to be offered for sale and built. All original plans for the Al Hamara Village indicated six Marina apartment blocks, A-F. G was added later offering purchasers, presumably latecomers, one more opportunity to buy.

This explains why progress on this block far lags the others. In early June 2006 G-block was in a ready state for construction to begin.

Two months later, the plot had been further leveled with piling completed.

By September the structure is readied for a podium to be built. Each tower sits raised above a podium over a meter in height. The ground floor will rise above the enclosed area pictured below.

The metal rebar will be encased in the structure's podium.
